Delete your Gold Rate data
Gold Rate: Gold Price Live · by Kelmora Labs
Gold Rate has no accounts and no login. Most of what the app keeps (your city, Gold Locker, settings) stays on your phone only.
How to delete it
- Everything on our server, in the app: open Settings › Privacy policy › Delete my data and confirm (app version 1.1.0 or newer; update the app from Google Play first if you don't see it). Your price alerts and your phone's code and notification address are deleted from our server at once. The app also removes your price alerts from the phone and turns off smart alerts and the morning rate. Your settings, Gold Locker and festival reminders stay on your phone.
- One price alert: open Tools › Price alerts and tap Delete on the alert. It is deleted from our server at once.
- Usage counts: turn off Settings › Privacy policy › Usage counts. Counting stops at once.
- Feedback messages: email kelmoralabs@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data – Gold Rate", and tell us the date and the words you sent. We reply within 30 days.
- Ads: reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Google › Ads). Our ad partners keep their own ad data under their privacy policies: Appodeal (with the ad companies it works with) and Google.
- Everything on your phone: uninstall the app. If your phone's own Google backup is on, Android may also keep a copy of the app's data in your Google account, under Google's backup settings.
Turning the morning rate off (Settings › Notifications) stops the morning notification.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted with "Delete my data": your price alerts, your smart alert choices, and your phone's code, notification address and time zone on our server.
- Deleted on their own: if you uninstall without using "Delete my data", our server deletes your phone's record and alerts 30 days after the notification service reports the app removed, or after 400 days without use. The morning rate's text is not linked to your phone (everyone with the same text shares it) and is deleted when no phone has used it for 400 days.
- Usage counts and crash reports never include your name or contact details, and we have no way to tell which are yours. Google and Sentry delete them automatically after a limited time. "Delete my data" also gives your phone a new usage-count code.
- Kept: purchase records, as long as needed to restore your purchases and as the law requires. Google Play keeps its own record of your purchases.
